Citizen's Grade: Impressive.
Punisher: War Zone is a "Man's Film"!! All action....blood, guts, guns, bashing heads, and blowing up things! Plot? Not so much....Romance? ....What? This is PUNISHER!!! Frank Castle was a undercover agent who's family is murdered before his eyes by the mob.....Frank Castle becomes The Punisher! Woe to those in his path.
Ray Stevenson (from the HBO series Rome) stars as The Punisher, and I can't picture anyone else playing the part after seeing him! He looks amazingly close to the comic book vigilante in appearance and size....it's like he was born for this role. It did not do well at the box office, but this is a must have if you're a fan of comic movies or action flicks.
When The Punisher's associate ("Newman" from Seinfeld, can't remember his real name)and an FBI Agent's widow and daughter are kidnapped by mob villain Jigsaw, Punisher goes "apocalyptic" on about 100 gang members to rescue them. Although hated by the police and shunned by society at large.....The Punisher will fulfill his mission to protect the innocent and bring down organized crime!
