The Fountain (Review)

Citizen's Grade: Impressive.

This movie based on the Graphic Novel by the same name is weird. I had to watch this film 3 times to get a clear understanding of the story and the ending.....but I loved it more every time I watched.

Yesterday, today, tomorrow. Past, present, future. This movie is a journey through space & time to try and defeat Humanity's greatest fear and foe.....death.

Blade Trilogy (Review)

Citizen's Grade: Impressive.

Maybe it's the "Catholic" in me, but I generally like the Vampire-killer movies more than the Vampire-kills movies. The Blade Trilogy is the perfect compliment to my natural inclination.....non-stop silver, sunlight, sword fighting & stake-shooting fun from the ultimate half-Human, half-Vampire....Blade!

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies animated (Review)

Citizen's Grade: O.K.

A bad economy in a troubled nation leads to the unthinkable.....Lex Luther becomes President of the USA! He convinces the nation he is reformed and that he will lead the nation back to greatness. All of the Superhero community believes him....except Superman & Batman. Luther expected their disloyalty, and goes to work to expose them and try and bring them down.

Batman: Battle for The Cowl (Review)

Citizen's Grade: O.K.

I will freely admit that I did not like the ending of Final Crisis. I also thought Batman: RIP could have been better. That said, I love Grant Morrison's writing....and I'm sure a year from now I'll be eating my words and explaining how this is probably the best Batman storyline ever!

Batman; a.k.a. Bruce Wayne, is gone...dead....or somewhere other than Gotham City. The rogues; led by Black Mask, are running wild....destroying and pillaging Gotham. The heroes; led by Nightwing, are doing everything they can....but they are not Batman.....until someone claiming to be Batman begins killing off bad guys.

Elephantmen: Must have for Comic Fans!!

Issue #24 was released just this week for Elephantmen. Although sometimes delayed, this series is probably the best regular monthly comic in the industry right now. Unfortunately, many comic fans are unaware of it & many comic shops don't sell it. It is a travesty!! Richard Starkings consistently has great stories, many directions and multiple characters going on in every issue! The artwork is always stellar no matter who is doing the drawing....Moritat is a master!
